| | my friend, who's a pilot was in town and we had absolutely nothing to do. finally we decided to go to a movie, but no chick flics. i had made a reservation to pick up a rental car to use tomorrow so i can drive up to SF to the philippines consulate to get a visa. yes, i do baby "Laura" a lot and i would never ride "Nicole" out to SF without chaining her down because she would be stolen the minute i park. besides, the road condition is so horrible, i wouldn't want to put her thru such a horrible experience. anyway, my friend dropped me off at SJC and i picked up a PT cruiser because i thought that the seating position on the cruiser is a bit higher than regular cars, which will definitely render a better/more comfortable ride. since we decided to watch Hangover at 1035pm, we had a bit of time to kill. first off, we "cruised" down to the cupertino verdes location to see if they're opened yet. construction is done, but empty store. then i had decided that my friend should take the wheel and make a run up foothill expressway to show me the route that i would take if i wanted to have a little fun with "Nicole" on a sunny saturday afternoon. so we drove up foothill, then merged onto highway 9 toward 4 corners, then came back down from saratoga on deanza blvd all the way back to amc cupertino16. and yes, the cruiser was convertible, and we did had to top down. while making the run thru the mountains, we had to keep the heater on full blast just to keep us warm.
so while driving toward the theater coming down from the mountain, we were stopped at a stoplight right next to a TL with two dudes in the front and two chicks in the back. i was driving and my friend noticed that they were dogging us, so my friend stared back and started flirting with the chicks in the back, and they actually responded. i assumed the position of the wingman and maintain similar car speed as the TL. the funny thing was, at the second stoplight, right when it turned green, the driver, a dude (obviously), said, "later!", and punched his accelerator. ok, my mother has the same model TL and i know the acceleration capabilities of that car, which was not that impressive. so knowing i have a 2.4L inline 4 probably punching out around 160-180 horsepower, pushing two peeps in the car, i immediately floored the accelerator like i stole the car. funny enough, i was keeping up with the TL, which embarassed the driver, which made my friend looked good, which gave him more time to spit his game. unfortunately, we found out they were heading home, at least the chicks were, so we didn't bother asking them if they wanted to go watch a movie with us. plus, there were cops flying all over cupertino, so we felt that we should play it safe and not mess around too much on the road with an ugly car like the cruiser. yeah i think it's ugly, but it is comfortable to be driving if the drive lasts more than 45 minutes.
yeah, i would say, we had a good night. on top of that, the movie was very very funny. the laughing was nonstop and i would love to watch it again, at home, from my downloads....hahaha.
